Cephei.Server provides the same calculation engine as Cephei.XL but hosted on a server (or grid) for offload calculation. Server calculation provides for use-cases that were not possible with Excel models:

• Reporting services that need to perform online calculations, but need to be segregated from pricing functions for high-availability
• SQL/Server stored procedures, Excel Services user-defined-function and other sensitive environments that that cannot load native code.
• Thin-client and mobile appliances that lack the power and memory to run models
